IRONSTONE ACADEMY TRUST INSPIRATION AWARDS
All our individual schools are all unique but share an understanding that children are at the heart of our decision making and that we are stronger together.
We are working hard to ensure the young people of the current ‘Ironopolis’ who attend Ironstone Schools will go on to transform their world too.
We have an annual awards night to celebrate the success of pupils across our trust.
Here are the Normanby Primary award categories along with the receivers of each in a gallery below.
Award Name | Description |
Trustees Award | This award will recognise the achievement of a child who has gone out of their way to be a good citizen and make a contribution to their local community, demonstrating the values of the Ironstone Academy Trust: Inclusion, Resilience, Openess, Nurturing |
Creative Award | This award will recognise a child who has shown exceptional creativity this year, in a creative subject such as art, music, dance, writing or drama. |
Enterprise Award | This award will recognise a child who has demonstrated a flair for enterprise and innovation. |
Friendship/Supporting Others Award | This award will recognise a child who has been an outstanding friend to others during the year – putting others before themselves and supporting their friends. They have shown kindness and care. |
Green Award | This award will recognise the achievement of a child who has demonstrated an understanding of the importance of protecting the environment, worked to spread this message to others and encourage others to do the same. |
Overcoming Adversity Award | This award will recognise the achievements of a child who has demonstrated resilience, determination and courage in overcoming problems, adversity or barriers to achieve their goals. |
Sportsmanship Award | This award will recognise a child who has had outstanding sporting achievement this year, or who has overcome a physical or other barrier to participate more in sport or physical activity. |
Contribution to wider school life | This award is to recognise a child who has contributed positively to the work of a school beyond learning in the classroom – school council, after school activities, supporting younger children. |
