I wanted to become a school governor for several reasons. Firstly I wanted to help support a school and offer my experience to making it the best place possible for the pupils and staff. Secondly, I felt that it was a brilliant opportunity to develop my understanding of school governance and the issues affecting education from a school leadership point of view.
