Eco Club
At Normanby Primary School, our team or Eco Ambassadors work tirelessly to spread the message of the importance of looking after the environment, in school, at home and in the community. Children meet regularly to discuss current issues and the various things that they would like to tackle across school. The Eco Ambassadors are made up of Key Stage 2 children, with two children representing each year group.
Across the course of the year, Eco Ambassadors work on tasks to make Normanby Primary School a more eco-friendly environment. They have worked collaboratively with the School Council and other schools within the Trust to discover ways in which the Trust can help make more sustainable choices.
Eco School Awards
The children have applied for the Eco Schools Award, having completed numerous activities including ‘Cut Your Carbon – Plant Based Meals’, The Big Battery Hunt and The Great Big School Clean. They have also applied for the Green Tree Award in partnership with The Woodland Trust.
