Learning about religion (AT1)

  • Explore a range of religious stories and sacred writings.
  • Name and explore a range of celebrations, worship and rituals in religion.
  • Identify meanings for religious symbols and begin to use a range of religious words.

Learning from religion (AT2)

  • Reflect on how spiritual and moral values relate to their own behaviour.

Learning about religion (AT1)

  • Use words and phrases, such as: worship, wonder, praise, thanks, concern, joy and sadness.
  • Sort objects/events on a simple timeline, to understand the passing of time.

Learning about religion (AT1)

  • When exploring a range of religious stories and sacred writings talk about their meanings
  • Suggest meanings for religious words when talking.
  • Discuss how spiritual and moral values relate to their own behaviour, by talking about what is important to them and others, valuing themselves, reflecting on their own feelings and experiences and developing a sense of belonging.

Learning from religion (AT2)

  • Talk about religious and spiritual feelings, experiences and concepts such as worship, wonder, praise, thanks, concern, joy and sadness.

Problem Solving

Ask and respond imaginatively to puzzling, relevant questions and develop a sense of wonder about the world, using their imaginations.
