Communication Skills | Working together Collaborative Skills | Problem Solving |
I can explore and compare the differences between things that are living, dead, and things that have never been alive I can identify that most living things live in habitats and explain what a habitat and micro habitat are I can describe how different habitats provide for the basic needs of different kinds of animals and plants, and how they depend on each other I can identify and name a variety of plants and animals in their habitats, including microhabitats I can describe how animals obtain their food from plants and other animals, using the idea of a simple food chain, and identify and name different sources of food I can raise and answer questions that help me become familiar with life processes common to all living things | I can get on with my investigation without distracting others I am prepared to listen to the views of others and respect them as valid I enjoy collaborative tasks I can work together with others on an investigation and appreciate the contributions of others | I can suggest why certain materials are better for certain things than other materials I can carry out experiments to investigate the growth of plants I can set up a comparative test to show that plants need light and water to stay healthy |
